Hi everyone, I’m Thomas, your Finance and Sponsorship Officer this year. It’s my job to manage the money to ensure we have enough funds to cover all our wonderful events and to seek more sponsorship so we can run even more wonderful events in the future.

I’m a third year Hatfielder, studying Computer Science, and loving every minute of my time at Durham. In the time I’m not here I also practice Shorinji Kempo (a martial art) and was former President of Sci-Fi and Fantasy, though despite what this may look like I’m not a complete geek and love a night out as much as anyone else

I only started coming regularly to LGBTa socials in my second year, but since then I have never looked back; I have met some lovely people and made a whole load of great new friends. Whether you are confidently out, or questioning whether you are L, G, B, or T, or anything in between (or even if you just want to show your support) come along and get involved. There’ll be people here who like you will be looking for everything from moral support to friends for nights out in Powerhouse. Whilst it may be daunting turning up to a room full of people you don’t know, trust me, stick with us and you won’t regret it!
